About Us

What is the organization about?

This organization is concerned to street lighting in residential areas, that focuses more, but not exclusively, on the needs of pedestrians. Safety is the essential advantage of lighting. By illuminating residential public spaces, we reduce the risks of accidents and injuries. Well-lit areas are known to reduce the chances of crime. We seek reassurance and providing comfort to people, lessening their fear or doubts, and restoring the neighborhood’s confidence in walking after daylight.

Our Story

Safety Org was formed by the young students of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila who advocates for the installation of more streetlights especially in areas not well lighted to lessen accidents, ensure safety for pedestrians, and to improve the quality of neighborhood life by making people feel harmless when walking at night.

To promote the need for a well-lit environment for urban designers to consider the progressive aspect when planning sustainable pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods; ensuring that the people in the barangays will feel valued and secured.
